Murphy\u2019s Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>The Head &amp; Shoulders Reversal Pattern<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/stockviz.biz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/image12.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px;border-left: 0px;margin: 0px 40px 0px 0px;padding-left: 0px;padding-right: 0px;float: left;border-top: 0px;border-right: 0px;padding-top: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" align=\"left\" src=\"http:\/\/stockviz.biz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/image_thumb12.png\" width=\"312\" height=\"270\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The basic ingredients are:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>A prior uptrend<\/li>\n<li>A left shoulder (A) followed by a corrective dip (B)<\/li>\n<li>A rally into a high on <em>light<\/em> volume (C)<\/li>\n<li>A decline (D) that moves below (A)<\/li>\n<li>A third rally (E) that fails to reach (C)<\/li>\n<li>A close below the neckline (F)<\/li>\n<li>A return move back to the neckline (G) followed by new lows.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Once prices move through a neckline and completed the h&amp;s pattern, they should not re-cross the neckline again.
